REBRANDING SONO MOTORS

A listed German start-up, an electric car with solar integration and an enthusiastic community. A logo that needs a new system to meet the challenges of the coming years. To involve the target group, three logo designs were voted on via social media. A new experience, a great interaction - it doesn't get any closer to the customer. A completely new experience and at the same time a challenge to provide the right design for selection.

The rendering imagery I developed for Sono Motors in 2022 fuses the sustainable values of the company, as well as the technical features of the products, into one visual look. Without the typical "green" coating, nature and light are integrated into the renderings, and combined with a modern look and feel.

The German start-up went public in New York at the end of 2021. With a unique product: the first german electric car with solar integration. The mission: Solar On Every Vehicle. Because we cannot continue to waste the resources of our planet. CO₂ emissions must be reduced. That's why we want to make sustainable mobility easy and affordable for everyone. For you. For future generations. From concept, supervision of production, set design to the look of the prospectus - an IPO is and remains a memorable moment for a company. IAA TRANSPORTATION

2022 Together with the agency designcompany, I designed the first trade show presence for the photovoltaic solutions of Sono Motors in Hannover. The most important requirement: a completely modular and reusable trade fair presence. Not only sustainable materials should be used, but also the long-term usability in different application scenarios should be considered. For the first time, the look & feel of the brand, which I had developed, was implemented in three-dimensional space. The modular frame construction, specially developed by Designcompany, as well as the easels and presentation furniture provided an adequate stage for the solar modules and technical exhibits.

CES 2021

It was an honour to be asked to conceptualise and design the world premiere for Sono Motors at CES 2021. The live stream to Los Angeles not only required a good eye for appearance and style, I was also able to put my experience in set design and staging to good use.

In various photo shoots, the product and lifestyle photography of Sono Motors was constantly developed under my supervision from 2020 to 2022. Be it founder images or driving experience - the sunny image look of Sono has always aimed to focus on the technical advantages of solar mobility as well as to convey fun in sustainability.
